Setting the Table

Flash Tables are intentional community gatherings where neighbors — regardless of background or circumstance — are invited to sit, be served, and experience genuine dignity and love. William Spence describes them as more than a meal program; they are a theological and human statement that every person belongs.

If you’d like to set a Flash Table in your city, we provide a free Table Leadership Training Course to prepare coordinators and volunteers to plan, mobilize, execute community gatherings where neighbors are welcomed, served, and dignified through shared meals and genuine human connection.

It is organized into nine modules:
